Mequon, WI – Mequon-based Shaffer Development announced today that Anodyne Coffee Roasting Company will be joining the Mequon Public Market.

Established in 1999, Anodyne Coffee Roasting Company is a locally owned, small batch roaster that aims to provide an exceptional cup of coffee using just enough technology to ensure exact repeatable results and assured satisfaction with every roast, every time.

Matthew McClutchy along with his wife Lacee own Anodyne Coffee Roasting Company and will be selling coffee, tea and local craft beer.  Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. also sells wholesale coffee, and operates retail cafes in Bay View, Walker’s Point, Wauwatosa and inside the Milwaukee Public Market in the Third Ward.

Matthew McClutchy stated, “After visiting the space and listening to the vision for Spur 16 we couldn't be more excited to be involved! We look forward to working with the other businesses in creating a unique market that Mequon and all the North Shore communities will embrace as their very own." 

According to Jenni Vetter Operations Director of the new Mequon Public Market at Spur 16.  “The Mequon Public Market will be the “go to” destination for great food, local produce, music and culture, transforming the heart of Mequon, where community can come together. Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 is a unique destination where people gather to experience community, specialty shopping, quality food, drinks, and farm fresh produce from local businesses. Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 honors history, promotes growth, and provides an outlet for community arts. It is a place to celebrate culture, support local and regional farmers, food artisans and entrepreneurs. Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 will bring people together to laugh, taste, learn and connect.

Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 is located at 6300 West Mequon Road and will be next door to the recently announced St. Paul Seafood Company who is also part of the Spur 16 Development.  St. Paul Seafood Company will have a fish market, oyster bar and sit-down restaurant.  The Mequon Public Market at Spur 16 will have approximately 10 vendors.  “Stay tuned,” said Shaffer Development owner and developer of Spur 16 Cindy Shaffer as we will be announcing more great partners in the coming months.

Work has begun on the project with an official ground breaking being planned for April.  We are just waiting for the city to give us our storm water approval and then it will be full steam ahead!  Pending delays for permits and approvals we would like to be open late summer early fall of this year. For all of our commercial buildings and town homes with apartments coming on line in the spring/summer of 2019.

Our residents and neighbors are thrilled to hear we are going to have delivery service from the market and St. Paul Fish Company.  This will be a great place to call home.
